Our Mission:

HELP INSPIRE SUPPORT

We create opportunities to help, inspire, and support children living with epilepsy.

A child with epilepsy requires a team of professionals to develop a comprehensive program for managing seizures while also providing families access to treatment options beyond the seizures themselves. For example a multidisciplinary team of Pediatric Epileptologists, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Neurosurgeons, Registered Dietitians, Neuropsychologists, and Social Workers may be utilized to aid the child’s treatment program.

With almost 500,000 children living with epilepsy in the United States there are simply not enough resources for specialized care and families often have to wait up to 12 months to see a specialist if one even exists in their city.

We can change that.

Our Vision

A community dedicated to expanding the availability of specialized care for children living with epilepsy.

Epilepsy by the numbers

Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological disorder in the world and currently, there is no cure. If you have epilepsy, surges of electrical activity in your brain can cause recurring seizures. Causes of epilepsy are different for each person, and some people have no identifiable cause. In others, doctors can trace epilepsy directly to genetics, brain trauma, autoimmune disorders, metabolic issues, or infectious diseases. Each cause has different signs, diagnoses, and treatment options.
